1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Zoom Dry Water Damage Restoration (operating as part of the 1RP Family of Companies) collects, uses, shares, and protects information from our website at zoomdryrestoration.com and from interactions with our restoration services. We are based in Staten Island, New York, and we serve customers throughout Staten Island and seven New Jersey counties: Union, Middlesex, Hudson, Essex, Bergen, Somerset, Morris, and Monmouth.

Our services and website are intended for individuals and properties located in the United States, specifically New York and New Jersey. By using our website or hiring us for services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically when you visit our site, and from trusted third parties.

Information You Provide Directly

  • Lead form submissions: Your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of your restoration problem.
  • Phone calls: When you call our New Jersey or Staten Island lines, we record the information needed to dispatch a crew — including the issue, address, and your contact details.
  • Insurance claim coordination: Claim numbers, policyholder details, carrier information, scope of loss, photographs, moisture readings, and Xactimate estimates.
  • Email and text correspondence: Any information you send us about your project.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics: Through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MNTFV8M5) and Google Analytics, we track page views, phone clicks, FAQ interactions, and how visitors find our site.
  • Server logs: Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, captures IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and request data for performance, fraud prevention, and security.
  • Cookies: Small text files stored in your browser that help our site function and that support analytics.

Information from Third Parties

  • Insurance carriers and adjusters may share claim information with us when assigning us a job.
  • Thumbtack may share your contact information when you request a quote through that platform. Zoom Dry maintains 39 customer reviews on Thumbtack.
  • Referral partners may share your contact information when referring you to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for these purposes:

  • Emergency dispatch and service delivery — getting a crew to your property and performing the work you hired us for.
  • Insurance claim coordination — documenting the loss, scoping the work, and billing your carrier.
  • Customer communication — calling, texting, or emailing you about your project, scheduling, completion, and follow-up.
  • Website operation and improvement — understanding which pages help customers and which need improvement.
  • Security and fraud prevention — protecting our systems and customers from abuse.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable laws including the New York SHIELD Act and the New Jersey Contractors' Registration Act.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

Insurance Carriers and Adjusters

As an emergency restoration contractor, our work often involves coordinating with your homeowner's insurance carrier. To facilitate the approval, scoping, and payment of your property claim, we share necessary information with your insurance carrier and their adjusters — including property photographs, Xactimate estimates, structural moisture readings, and detailed scope of loss. This sharing is a contractual and operational necessity for performing the services you have requested.

Affiliated Companies

We are part of the 1RP Family of Companies. To provide complete property recovery from initial mitigation through full reconstruction, we may share your contact information, project details, and restoration documentation with our affiliated company Anajur Construction Corp, which operates under common ownership and control. This sharing is solely to facilitate seamless transition between mitigation services and structural reconstruction. The same data protection standards apply across affiliated entities.

Service Providers

We work with third-party providers who process information on our behalf under written agreements requiring them to safeguard the data. Our providers include Zapier (form processing), Google Workspace (email), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google Analytics (website analytics), and Xactimate (estimating software).

Thumbtack and Referral Platforms

We participate in the Thumbtack platform for customer reviews and lead generation. If you contact us through Thumbtack, certain information you provide is governed by Thumbtack's privacy policy until it is transferred into our systems, at which point this policy applies. Thumbtack publicly displays our customer reviews under their own framework.

Legal Obligations

We may disclose information when required by law — including in response to valid subpoenas or court orders, or as required by the New York SHIELD Act when a security breach occurs. We may also disclose information to protect our rights, property, or safety, and that of our customers and employees.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MNTFV8M5) and Google Analytics to operate this website and understand how it is used. These services collect IP addresses, browser type, page views, phone clicks, and FAQ interactions. Cloudflare automatically collects standard server logs for security and performance.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking through browser extensions, by enabling Global Privacy Control signals where supported, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings. We honor Global Privacy Control signals when received.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. In accordance with applicable law including the New York SHIELD Act, we maintain a written information security program with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. These include risk assessments, employee training, vendor contracts requiring equivalent protections, secure disposal procedures, and regular monitoring. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, but we treat your information with the care it deserves and notify you and the appropriate state authorities promptly if a security incident occurs that requires notification.

7. Data Retention

We retain project records, drying logs, photographs, and moisture readings for at least ten years after completion of services. Property restoration carries long-term liability, and these records serve as evidence of work performed in compliance with industry standards (IICRC S500), insurance carrier audit requirements, and applicable statutes of limitation and repose under New Jersey and New York law.

Contact information not tied to active or recent projects may be deleted on a shorter schedule. We periodically review our retention practices to ensure they balance customer privacy with our legal defense, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to homeowners and property managers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If we discover we have collected such information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address listed below.

9. International Users

Our services and website are intended exclusively for individuals and properties located within the United States, specifically New York and New Jersey. We do not target, monitor the behavior of, or offer goods and services to residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other international jurisdictions. If you access this site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States subject to applicable United States law.

10. Your Choices

You have several ways to manage how we collect and use your information:

  • Opt out of marketing communication — reply STOP to any text or email asking us to remove you.
  • Disable analytics tracking — use browser extensions or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.
